CSL PMIS Internship 2026 – 227 Seats Under PM Internship Scheme

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) invites online applications for 227 internship seats under the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) across ITI, SSLC, Diploma, Graduation and Post Graduation categories. This is a 9-month internship with stipend of Rs. 11,000 to Rs. 13,000 per month. Interested candidates can apply online through the official PMIS Portal at pminternship.mca.gov.in.

Vacancy Details

A total of 227 internship seats are available across six qualification categories. The number of seats is based on existing requirement and may vary depending on future requirements.

A. ITI Trades (Total: 92, Stipend: Rs. 11,000/month)

B. SSLC (Total: 80, Stipend: Rs. 11,000/month)

C. HSE/ITI (Total: 27, Stipend: Rs. 11,000/month)

D. Diploma (Total: 16, Stipend: Rs. 13,000/month)

E. Graduation (Total: 11, Stipend: Rs. 13,000/month)

F. Post Graduation (Total: 1, Stipend: Rs. 13,000/month)

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

18 to 25 years, applicable uniformly across all categories.

Ineligibility Criteria

The following categories of candidates are not eligible to apply under this scheme:

• Graduates/Postgraduates from IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, IISER, NIDs, IIITs, and IISc
• Candidates holding qualifications such as CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, MBA or equivalent, MPhil, and PhD
• Candidates already undergoing any skill, apprenticeship, internship, or training program under Central or State Government schemes
• Candidates who have completed apprenticeship or training under NATS or NAPS at any point
• Candidates whose family income exceeds Rs. 12 lakh in the preceding financial year
• Candidates with any family member who is a permanent/regular government employee

Stipend

No travel expenses are admissible. Boarding and lodging will not be provided by CSL during the internship period.

Duration

The duration of the internship will be Nine (9) months, as per the Prime Minister Internship Scheme guidelines.

Application Fee

There is no application fee for the CSL PMIS Internship 2026. The notification explicitly states “Application Fee: Nil.”

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting: Based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification applicable to the respective trade/discipline
2. Merit Tie: If two or more candidates secure the same percentage of marks, relative merit will be decided based on seniority in age
3. Offer Letter: Shortlisted candidates will be issued an offer of Internship Training through the PMIS portal
4. Certificate Verification: Candidates must appear for certificate verification on the date mentioned in the offer letter with original certificates
5. Provisional Induction: On successful completion of certificate verification, candidates will be provisionally inducted for internship training, subject to medical fitness

• Self-attested copies of all the above documents
• Equivalency Certificate, if applicable, issued by the competent authority

2. Go through the Candidate User Manual published on the PMIS portal before filing the online application
3. Register and fill out the online application form, ensuring that marks and other details are entered accurately
4. Submit the application through the PMIS Portal
5. Frequently check the PMIS portal for updates related to shortlisting and selection, as offer letters will not be sent by post
