The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has released the official notification (Advt No. 01, dated 24.08.2026) for 107 contractual teaching faculty and senior resident posts at the proposed ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Margao, Goa. The vacancies include 15 Professor, 21 Associate Professor, 36 Assistant Professor, and 35 Senior Resident positions across 24 medical disciplines.

Walk-in interviews will be conducted on 01, 02, and 03 September 2026 at the Conference Room, 1st Floor, ESIC Hospital, Margao, Goa. Candidates opting for online interview must email scanned application and documents to esicmcmargao.rect2026@gmail.com by 3:00 PM on 01.09.2026. Reporting time on interview days is 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

The engagement is purely contractual for 1 year, renewable subject to performance. Salary ranges from Rs. 67,700 for Senior Residents to Rs. 1,18,500 for Professors per month plus allowances. The application fee is Rs. 500 for general category and Nil for SC/ST/Female/ESIC employees/Ex-Servicemen/PH candidates. Candidates must possess qualifications as per NMC (MCI) Teacher Eligibility Qualifications (TEQ).

ESIC Teaching Faculty & Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 31.08.2026)

• Teaching Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor): Not exceeding 69 years.
• Senior Resident – Clinical Subjects: Not exceeding 44 years.
• Senior Resident – Non-Clinical/Laboratory Science Subjects: Not exceeding 49 years.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC candidates.

Educational Qualification

Qualification is strictly as per NMC (MCI) Teacher Eligibility Qualifications (TEQ) as amended. MBBS/MD/MS/DNB/PG Diploma as applicable to the post and department.

• Professor (Alternate Route): MD/MS/DNB with minimum 3 years of PG teaching experience in an NBE/DNB Institute as Senior Consultant.
• Associate Professor (Alternate Route): MD/MS/DNB with 10 years work experience in a Government hospital with 220+ bed capacity as Specialist/Medical Officer/Senior Resident.
• Assistant Professor (Route i): MD/MS/DNB with 2+ years experience after PG degree.
• Assistant Professor (Route ii): PG Diploma with 6+ years experience as Consultant/Specialist/Senior Resident/Medical Officer in an NMC/NBE recognized institute.
• Senior Resident: MD/MS/DNB/PG Diploma with valid registration. No experience required after PG qualification.
• Emergency Medicine: PG in Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesiology, Critical Care, Orthopedics, Chest/Pulmonology also eligible.
• ICU (Asst Prof): PG in Critical Care, Pulmonary Medicine, Anesthesiology, Chest Medicine, Internal Medicine also eligible.

ESIC Teaching Faculty & Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

Selection is based on the candidate's academic credentials and performance in an interview before the Selection Board. The result will be displayed on www.esic.gov.in and offer of appointment sent through e-mail. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

Salary Details

Contract Terms

• Engagement is purely contractual for 1 year from date of joining, renewable.
• Can be terminated by either side with 1 month prior notice.
• Security Deposit of Rs. 20,000 (DD in favour of ESI Fund Account No. 2, SBI Panjim) required for Senior Residents.
• No service benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority, or Promotion.
• No private practice allowed after joining.
• Senior Residents in General Medicine/Surgery posted on rotational basis to ICU/Casualty/Trauma.
